What is GHK-Cu?

· Welmira

A drop of clear blue serum falling from a dropper into a small pool on pale stone

A small copper peptide

GHK-Cu is a peptide – a short chain of three amino acids – carrying a copper part. On an ingredient list it is called Copper Tripeptide-1. In skincare it is used as a skin-conditioning ingredient, and it is the heart of our Copper Peptide Serum.

The serum contains 1% GHK-Cu in a light, water-based formula with glycerin, panthenol and hyaluronic acid. It feels smooth and sinks in without feeling sticky.

Why the serum is blue

Most face serums are colourless. Ours is a clear blue – and no colourant is added. The colour comes from the copper in the peptide itself.

That is why we chose a clear airless bottle and a transparent label: you see the serum, not the packaging.

How to use it in your routine

  1. Cleanse. Start with clean, dry skin.
  2. Apply. A small amount – one pump or a few drops – to face and neck. We like it as part of an evening routine, but it works in the morning too.
  3. Let it sink in. Massage in gently and wait a moment before the next step.
  4. Finish. Moisturiser in the evening. During the day, finish as usual with sunscreen.

Patch test: Trying the serum for the first time, or have sensitive skin? Apply a little to the inside of your forearm and wait 24 hours before using it on your face. Stop using the serum if your skin becomes irritated.

Storage: Put the bottle in the fridge once unpacked. The airless pump helps protect the formula from air between uses. Period after opening: 3 months.
